One of the strongest associations many people have with Finland is the sauna. Finns have a special attitude towards saunas; they are perceived as a sacred place and part of Finnish culture. In a country with a population of just over 5 million people there are about 3 million saunas. They are arranged everywhere: in apartments, houses, offices, hotels, cottages, entertainment centers. Most Finns visit saunas at least once a month. We were just building stuff 'cause we thought it was cool. I do remember having these specific conversations with my friends where we thought, you know, someone is gonna build this.
